S1 - SPD: WHY?

S1-SPD: when we realized speed is something you can feel

For the longest time, I thought speed only depended on DPI or sensitivity.

I kept increasing my sens, changing settings, tweaking everything on my mouse… but something still felt off. Fast movements never truly felt smooth, and in games where everything happens instantly, that makes a huge difference.

It was while playing games like Fortnite and Call of Duty: Warzone that I started realizing something important:

A mousepad completely changes the feeling of speed.

And honestly, way more than most people think.

That idea became the start of the S1-SPD.

We wanted to create a surface made for players who rely on fast, wide and fluid movements constantly. A mousepad where every swipe feels light, effortless and responsive, while still keeping enough control to stay accurate when it matters.

Because speed without precision just feels messy.

Finding that balance became the real challenge.

We spent countless hours testing different fabrics and surfaces searching for what “real speed” should feel like. Not the kind of speed where your mouse becomes uncontrollable, but a surface that gives freedom of movement while still feeling stable when it’s time to aim.

We wanted players to instantly notice that difference the moment they move their mouse:

less resistance,
more fluidity,
more freedom.

Especially in games where you’re constantly flicking, tracking, building, repositioning and making huge movements every few seconds.

And during testing, something interesting started happening.

The more we used the S1-SPD, the more we understood that speed isn’t only measured… it’s felt. Your hand moves differently, reactions feel more natural and the entire game starts feeling lighter and more responsive.

That was exactly the experience we wanted to create.

The S1 SPD was made for players who enjoy a fast, dynamic and aggressive playstyle, but still want confidence and precision in every movement.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about moving your mouse faster.

It’s about feeling like your setup can finally keep up with the way you want to play.
